Matson Ground Farm is made up of 550ha of land, of which about 400ha is grazing land. The farm is registered as organic and certified by Organic Farmers and Growers.
Our sheep flock is made up of 700 ewes and we have 30 suckler cows.
All land is managed under Countryside Stewardship Agreements with DEFRA. We have also received funding through the RDPE-funded LEADER project for assistance in the purchase of mobile sheep handling equipment.

There are three SSSIs on our land. The scientific interest relates to floral species associated with wetlands, upland mires and unimproved pastures.
